What a nice story...
(Copied and pasted here.)
An American man walked into a restaurant in London. As soon as he entered, he noticed an African man sitting in the corner.
So he walked over to the counter, removed his wallet and shouted, "Waiter! I am buying food for everyone in this restaurant, except that black African guy over there!"
So the waiter collected the money from the man and began serving free food to everyone in the restaurant, except the African.
However, insteadof becoming upset, the African simply looked up at the American and
shouted, "Thank you!" That infuriated the man. So once again, the American took out his wallet and shouted, "Waiter! This time I am buying bottles of wine and additional food for everyone in this bar, except for that African sitting in the corner over there!" So the waiter collected the money from the man and began serving free food and wine to
everyone in the bar except the African.
When the waiter finished serving the food and drinks, once again, instead of becoming angry, the African simply smiled at the American man and shouted, "Thank you!"
That made the American man furious. So he leaned over on the counter and said to the
waiter, "What is wrong with that African man? I have bought food and drinks for everyone in this bar except him, but instead of becoming angry, he just sits there and smiles at me and shouts 'Thank you.' Is he

[PM1] A new beginning in the universe

If we don't do now, our business establishment year is being postponed.
To sail a ship to a final destination, we need to start whenever we feel we are ready.
We need to begin our journey as soon as possible,  so we are one step closer to our destination.
To learn how to sail a ship we need to go into a deep sea, we can't sail on dry land.

It is when we see the lacking in other people then we can define our own progress. People needs motivation, most people fail not because of they are not able, it is because they do not know how to be excited. I have seen a broker although he physically want to sell, but he do not know what to say when meeting client. He has the intention but do not know how to progress.

Most of them s we only see how succesful is other people, we didnt see how much time they put into practicing to become a succesful people. For example a good communicator will need to practice always, fail many times and then finally adjust body language , tonage and his content so he can finally become a succesful communicator.

Most people they achieve high standards nott because thry set high goals it is because they are not happy about their current performance and they want to keep on improving. Most of the time there is no limit to improvment.

And the Question is what is our goal? our goal is to create a business venture that can replace what we do now and create enough passive income for us to retire.

It will be in  large scale one day, to begin, we need to start small.

Each of us invest 500 dollar, try to multiply it. See who can multiply it first.

We invest a small amount for two reasons. Firstly, to  have a sense of commitment. Secondly a small amount of investment and trying to multiply it keep us thinking and motivated. In the event that we are successful , we can repeat our strategy, if not we doesn't lose much, we will move to our next game.

Allow me to share with you a chart.

Commodity or luxury, common or unique.

Rice is commodity or luxury? Common or unique?
Mobile phone is commodity or luxury, common or unique?
Car is commodity or luxury? Common or unique?

In order to be successful, we need to be in the unique commodity quadrant.

To be able to success a start up, we need to believe in our idea.
Most people they give up before they successfully deliver an impact.
Some people just follow other successful example and they do not come out an orginal idea.
We only live once, we want to make a difference.
That's why we have to keep believing in our idea until it works.

A few industries came across my mind, to name a few:
-child education
-coaching school
-group buy website
-mobile hawker

Teamwork is important.
In a basketball team, although we have a star player, but that doesn't guaranteed us to win. We need to have cooperative team mate as well. As you need them to handle the ball through opponents, go nearer to the basket and pass the ball to the star player, for him to be able to score.

Progress meeting
Let's begin our progress meeting. Progress meeting has three steps:

  • to listen to your past week activities
  • any challenges faced and
  • finally we discuss the solutions to the challenges.

Engineer Joke

To an optimist, the glass is half full.
To a pessimist, the glass is half empty.
To an engineer, the glass is two times bigger than it needs to be.

A Mathematician, an engineer and a physicist were traveling through Australia when they saw a black sheep through the window of the train.
"Aha", says the engineer, "I see that Australian sheeps are black."
"Hmm", says the physicist, "You mean that some Australian sheeps are black".
"No", says the mathematician, "All we know is that there is at least one sheep in Australia, and at least one side of that sheep is black!"
A graduate with a science degree asks, "Why does it work?"
A graduate with an engineering degree asks, "How does it work?"
A graduate with an accounting degree asks, "How much will it cost?"
A graduate with an arts degree asks, "Sir do you want coffee or tea?"
Doctor: It's worse than I feared
Mother: What is it?
Doctor: I'm afraid your son has...the knack.
Mother: The knack?
Doctor: The knack. It's a rare condition characterized by an extreme intuition about all things mechanical and electrical...and utter social ineptitude.
Mother: Can he lead a normal life?
Doctor: No...he'll be an engineer.
Mother: *gasps and begins to cry* Nooooooo

Doctor: There, there. Don't blame yourself.
Men/Women Joke

Susan was having a tough day and after returning home, she started complaining

She said to her husband, “Nobody loves me….nobody cares for me..the whole world hates me!”
Her husband, who was watching TV said casually: “That’s not true dear. You are not that famous that  the whole world hates you. Some people don’t even know you.”
A mild-mannered man was tired of being bossed around by his wife so he went to a psychiatrist.
The psychiatrist said he needed to build his self-esteem, and so gave him a book on assertiveness, which he read on the way home.
He had finished the book by the time he reached his house.
The man stormed into the house and walked up to his wife.
Pointing a finger at her face, he said, “From now on, I want you to know that I am the man of this house, and my word is law! I want you to prepare me a gourmet meal tonight, and when I’m finished eating my meal, I expect a sumptuous dessert afterward. Then, after dinner, you’re going to draw me my bath so I can relax. And when I’m finished with my bath, guess who’s going to dress me and comb my hair?”
“The funeral director,” said his wife.

[Article] Human

Today i want to share a story that our colleague had shared last week.
After I listened to the story, I went home and pondered about it. During my reflection i thought, this is truly an encouraging story. Allow me to share it with you.

There is an agent,  agent A approached a customer, customer B, to whom he would not have met, if he did not take the first step and then the second step and then the third step and so on and so on.

Agent A called customer B, the first time, very unimpressed, very annoyed. Customer B hang up the agent's phone call.

After six months, Agent A called again, still unimpressed,  customer B hang up the phone. Annoyance, impatience, anger you can imagine it. You might have experienced it before. Salesman calling you to buy things not only you don't understand, but themselves don't fully understand as well. A stack of paper? for the future benefits? Would I have ever use it?

Not discouraged, agent A called again and again. After two years, agent A called the phone and customer B pick up the phone. "It's me again" Before customer B hang up, agent A said "please wait, allow us to meet up, i have been following up this call for two years."
"..." a short pause. finally customer B said "ok you can talk to my wife."

It is not about closing the case,  obtaining acceptance or selling a product. It is about the value of humanity. We are all human, we are touched by humanly things, consistency, persistency, patience, grace, love,  passion. you name it, these are the qualities that we need to learn from the leaders,  the leaders need to always remind themselves.

Our world is governed by layers of systems, our daily life has machines running repetitive works at constant pace, our memories capacity might be substituted by computer bytes one day. One thing we have to always remember, we are all human,  we serve each other, we teach each other, we share our information with each other. When we allow our human values to integrate in the system of the world, it is when we live as a human being.

[Article ] We grow up

we grow up in a world that we do things that we wouldn't do to get reward we want to get. we grow up in the believes system that we chose to believe something that we are not naturally designed with. we grow up with a dream to make a difference and to do something others don't do.
As i grow up, the point of transformation from theory and practical, and from these practical there is a need to materialise them in order to get a living in life. the so called materialsed i mean is to make your skills useful to the society so that in exchange we can obtain a currency called money. we all need different amount of money depends on our living styles, but we can not deny that it is a currency required for us to get comfortable shelter, sumptuous food as the basic needs for us and for our loves one. Some of us even needed to extend or sacrifice part of their comfortable life to exchange for a comfort living. The Indonesian helper that flew all the away from home to do house chores in a stranger's house, the Malaysian workforce that drive 5am in the morning to Singapore to avoid traffic jam at the causeway, the Anestatist who expose his life to risk when approaching chemical that might brings negative impact on health daily.
At some stage of our life we would realise we live not only by ourself, we have friends, at some point we also notice we live not only for ourself, we live for others too. There is no reason to live alone without purpose of helping each other and motivating each other. Recently i have watched a video about a teacher motivating the students, what the teachers do, praising the children, that boost their confidence. this is the world where there is power in words, it is your choice, to make good use of your speech, noone will tell you what to say, you need to say something that is constructive, that makes a difference, that helps others.
We grow up in a world where everyone claims that they are the professionals. The tyres reseller, the properties middleman and the insurance agent. All of them saying they are doing what they are best at, while the doctors, lawyers and engineers and generally accepted as the professional family. Since we are all looking for meaning in life, we are all stand to be an important contributors in the society, why not prioritise service over profits, reduce hidden cost while delivering concrete solution, brings out the very best with every honestly conducted business. Yes we are dreaming an ideal world and living in a real world, yet this is not the end, dreaming is just the beginning, there are journey to walk and stumble upon, there are walls to climb, slope to move forward; People can take away external things from you, but they cant be bother what is inside you, believe, meekness, patience, persistence, courage, compassion, integrity, these are the little things, sand by sand, brick by brick, some essential element of building a great man.
"humanity greatest advances are not in its discoveries but are how those discoveries are applied to reduce inequity"
